Update on Spirituality Adventures 2026
In February of 2026, the Spirituality Adventures (SA) Board of Directors and staff did a weekend retreat together to revisit the vision, mission, goals, strategies, and target audience of SA. We met with consultant Lori Wilson of Flint and Flow. In the days ahead, we will be rolling out a calendar of podcasts, blogs, groups (in-person & online), events, classes, and partnerships with community organizing for racial and social justice.
When I started Spirituality Adventures in 2021, I had experienced a dark night of the soul in which my faith felt shattered. Through work with therapists, twelve steps, and certified training in mindfulness meditation, I began to experience post-traumatic growth. The experience of darkness gave me an intense sense of connection with those who have gone through church abuse and religious trauma. My experience of love and grace also expanded.
I began Spirituality Adventures to create a non-judgmental place to explore spirituality, especially for those who have become disenfranchised with institutional churches and religion. The fastest growing religious demographic in America are the people who check the “None” box when asked about their religious affiliation.
Further demographic research has shown that the “Nones” are diverse. Some people check the “None” box instead of the “Catholic,” “Protestant,” or “Other” box even though they attend a non-denominational church. These are “NINO’s”—Nones In Name Only. None’s also include the Disengaged (hard exit on church), SBNR’s (spiritual but not religious), and Zealous Secularists (happy atheists and agnostics).
These are the people whom I love deeply, and I’m excited about the future of Spirituality Adventures and the opportunities we will provide for those who are hungry for spirituality without rigid dogma. Love is central to all we do at Spirituality Adventures. Our podcast has had over 60,000 views in 2026, and I am expecting exponential growth with the new strategic plans we are putting in place. Here is a brief overview:

Four years ago Adam Hamilton, who founded Church of the Resurrection and is currently running for a US Senate seat in Kansas, gave an endorsement for Spirituality Adventures which I feel still resonates with the vision and mission of SA. Please consider supporting SA by signing up for a monthly donation and spread the news.
